Yes- this is the place! Super atmosphere! Great folks to serve you. Liam the bartender is a gem! The wait staff fantastic! Food ..amazing! We tried all the appetizers Something for everyone. Yummy! Plenty of free parking in lot and on the street. The absolute best Manhattan in town!
We hit up The Cub Room early and got seated right away. The place is like an industrial warehouse that was brought back to life and is very well done. You can wear whatever you want here - a dress or jeans, whatever suits you. All are welcome! The Burrata? Life-changing. Seriously, I may just order that as my dinner next time. The entrees were amazing as well. Our server was also exceptional and clearly loves what he does. Oh, and the owners are opening a new spot in Fairport, which we are super excited for! I can't wait to see what they do next!
So happy we randomly decided to dine here tonight. In short, this is an excellent place all the way around. The service was exceptional. Our main server was Sean. He provided excellent menu and cocktail recommendations as well as the history of the restaurant. The staff clearly works as a team and our food arrived quickly, cocktails were on point, and our water was always topped off. They even brought us extra bread with our appetizer. The food…. Wow. Where to begin? Everything was perfectly prepared and the flavor pairing is unique and wonderfully balanced- yet nothing overshadowed the main ingredient. Perhaps some of the best scallops I have ever had (seriously). The chicken was so simple, yet so perfect. The Brussel sprouts are seriously amazing— I love how they took such a simple ingredient and elevated it. Try this place- it’s hands down one of the top restaurants in Rochester.
The Cub Room never disappoints. The food and service are always outstanding! I finally tried the Cub Burger and it was amazing! If you love burgers, you must order it. We also ordered Patatas Bravas for an appetizer and 2 desserts to share-- signature S'mores and Grand Marnier and chocolate crepe cake.
Went here for New Years Eve, and I’m sad that I didn’t know about this event sooner. They put on a Gatsby themed party every year and it was so great. Food was wonderful, service was great, and live music was entertaining. My wife and I went with 5 others, so we had a large party and waited forever for food, but it was great. I would definitely go again, but I know they are moving to Fairport soon.
My husband and I came here for the first time this past weekend. We were immediately seated after confirming our reservation, and our server (I wish we got his name/remembered!) was amazing!! He was very good about telling us where everything was sourced from, and he was also very convincing about how good the food they served was. I was interested in the Amish Chicken but was skeptical since I had no idea what a cream sherry was. When I asked him about it, he answered that it was rich in flavor and that he really enjoyed it. He must have still sensed my hesitancy and said, 'Would you like to try some?', which I was so surprised about! He brought me over a small bowl with the cream sherry, and it was really good (savory with slight tartness to it). Everything we ordered was amazing, but it was his service that really made our experience so wonderful - thank you SO much!! We will definitely be back again!
The Cub Room is absolutely outstanding! A friend recommended it to us as a great place for Sunday brunch. Wow, she was right! The mimosas are delicious. Food is delicious and creative. The service was top notch. You definitely want reservations, because it does get full. We were there at 11:00, and we're the first few people in the door. But within an hour it was full. The atmosphere is wonderful. The food is wonderful. The service is wonderful. Just absolutely nothing to complain about. Highly recommended!
Sunday brunch, tried their own take on an eggs Benedict and it was done perfectly. The frittata was also good with a little side salad, very filling too with potatoes. A bit dark inside for a brunch spot but I’ll go back with a bigger appetite for the desserts our server was raving about (a dessert sampler).
